Christie Smith

Christie Smith (President, she/her) was born and raised in longtime Speaker of the House Tip O’Neill’s district in Cambridge, Massachusetts; thus she’s a Democrat to the bone. She’s been out West for over 45 years, in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. In Colorado, she walked the neighborhoods for Barack Obama and made calls for Hillary Clinton. She has been active in the Socorro County Democratic Party since 2020, campaigning for Siah in 2020 and for Kamala in 2024 and for local New Mexico candidates. She attends city council and school board meetings in Socorro, trying to learn how it all works.
